The Reluctant Graduate

So this is what we have been up to lately...getting Josh to graduate! I would be lying if I said that I was not SO RELIEVED that that part is OVER!!! Now for another three years...but we will think about that later. Josh did not want to go to his graduation ceremony at all, but someone *ahem* convinced him that it would be better to go, you know, for posterity and all. (c: I think he was glad he did, even if you can't tell from the pictures. Congrats Class of 2010!!!!

Just hand over that @#!$% thing and no one gets hurt! (c: I'm pretty sure that is what Josh was thinking at this point!

The only way we got Caden to take this picture was to bribe him with "yummy yums" as he likes to call them (M&Ms)...he looks super happy doesn't he???

Love at Home

Do you ever find yourself just looking at your children and having the words to "Love at Home" run through your head? Um, yeah, me neither. But this was one of those rare exceptions when Caden and Skylar were just wrestling, reading, and just having a grand ol' time...such a cute moment, however short-lived! (c:

Mother's Day!

Yay For Fun Indoors!

So the weather here still has not made up it's mind if it is going to be Spring or not...but that didn't stop us from swimming! It's all thanks to the indoor pool out here in RR. Auntie Cherish is visiting us from AZ and Caden is just in love with her...poor thing has not had a moments peace anytime he is awake! (c: This trip to the pool was no exception and he was serioulsy upset when it came time to go because his (and his sister's) lips were blue and he was shivering! What a strange kid. But hey, we have to be creative to keep these little ones entertained (even if they do get hypothermia)!

As good as it gets.

I wish I meant that these just don't get any better...but really I mean that I just gave up after about 15 minutes of feeling like I was hearding cats and said "Oh well, at least it's documented"! (c: I *heart* Easter pics...just not mine...but I do still love those little rascals!

A Sad, Sad Day at the Edwards' House

Okay, so we had a family tragedy this week...Frank the Parakeet passed. )c: This happened on Tuesday and I am just now able to write about it. I am only being partly sarcastic because I actually did like that little bird and Caden (as previously discussed) was IN LOVE with it. It was a terrible event involving our miniature schnauzer...and Caden was devastated. We cried together for quite a while(Caden crying about Frank and Mom crying about Caden) and then had a small funeral. Some of you may be saying "it seems like only yesterday that Frank joined your family"...but it's been two whole weeks people!...plenty of time for Caden to become completely obsessed and now he won't stop talking about Frank and how he went to live with Jesus but he is coming back soon. *sigh* I think he is scarred for life. But I guess I should be glad that we got to have a little lesson about death when it was just a parakeet, right?
